I want to congratulate some of our wonderful LPHS programs on their recent success. Our HOSA group had 18 total “Top 3” placers. These students are automatically qualified for the International Competition. Additionally, we had 31 “Top 10” placers and 4 first-place finishers. Our Speech and Debate team had great outcomes, which led to multiple national qualifiers last week. School awards for the National Qualifying Tournament include 1st place in Speech, 2nd place Overall Speech and Debate, and 1st place in Congressional Debate. Our girls and boys basketball teams know where they are headed in the 5A state basketball tournament, and wrestling wrapped up a strong season at state on Saturday. Congratulations to all students and coaches.
