Dear LPHS Families,
We will kick off our first LP Parent Partnership Virtual Gathering on Wednesday, Sep. 10th. We will preview the topic prior to each session, so that parents can decide whether the topic is meaningful to them. The goal of these virtual meetings is to provide opportunities for parents to engage in specific topics. Some conversation topics will be broad and informative, while others will be narrow in focus. Please attend only if it is a topic pertinent to your circumstances; the goal is not max attendance, but applicable attendance. Each session will be 30 minutes in length starting at 5pm. I will stay on to answer any questions from 5:30 to 5:45. I will also take time to answer any questions in the chat after the call. If any questions arise specific to a student, we can set up a private time to discuss the issue.
Our first call on September 10th will be specifically aimed at Freshmen Parents. Presentation topics will include an introduction to staff directly supporting Freshmen, 4 year academic planning, graduation requirements, academic supports, and staying connected through Infinite Campus/Rooms/Canvas.
