PRINCIPAL'S NOTE

 Dear LPHS Families,

There are some great opportunities to see our excellent LPHS students in action this week.  Our Fall musical, Into the Woods, kicks off on Thursday and has shows through Saturday. The cast and crew have been working hard to put together a great show.  Congrats to our volleyball team for making it to the state championships. They swept Palmer Ridge and Canon City at LPHS on Saturday to advance. Our football team also qualified for state playoffs and will play this coming Saturday in Mead.

I would also like to congratulate Mrs. Schatz on a well-deserved recognition. She was named the Adapted PE Teacher of the Year by SHAPE Colorado. We get to see the amazing things her classes do on a regular basis, but it is always nice when you see an organization that examines schools across the state take notice of  exceptional programming. Great job, Mrs. Schatz!

- Principal Jeff Zick

1) Classroom Visits: Tuesday, November 11 from 9-11 AM with Principal Zick. Take an inside look at the innovative education happening in LPHS classrooms. Please email tackerman@lewispalmer.org to sign up to attend.

2) Quarterly Ranger Advisory Committee Meeting: Wednesday, November 12, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM in the DLL. SEE THE AGENDA. Can't make it in? Google Meet option available- Google Meet Link

All parents are invited to RAC events! You do not need to commit to be officially "on the committee" to attend these meetings, and you do not need to commit to attend all the meetings. Your ideas and input are highly valuable to the the success of LPHS. The more, the merrier!

WHAT IS THE RANGER ADVISORY COMMITTEE?

LPHS Theatre Presents: INTO THE WOODS

Harvest of love title graphic with truck full of pumpkins

Join us for an epic tale of a childless couple who set out to end a curse placed on them by a vengeful witch and are forced to experience the consequences of their actions. It is inspired by the Grimm Brothers' fairy-tales of "Little Red Riding Hood", "Cinderella", "Jack and the Beanstalk", and "Rapunzel." The final reprise of "Into the Woods" reminds us that there will be times when each of us must journey into the woods, but that we must mind the future and the past.

SHOWTIMES: Nov. 13, 14 and 15 at 7 PM; November 13, Saturday, Matinee at 1:30 PM.
