Parent Teacher Conferences are just 10 days away. You can check your student’s' grades through the parent portal, but please come visit us if you would like to connect with the teachers directly. FAFSA also opened early. If you are a senior parent, you can start your FAFSA now. Please feel free to contact our counselors with any questions.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Parent Teacher Conferences are NEXT WEEK on Wednesday, October 8. Helpful details:

Informational Pre-Sessions for parents are optional but encouraged. These will begin at 4:00 PM. No registration is required. Three 30-minute sessions will be offered from 4 PM until 6 PM. The 4:30 session is our Ranger Advisory Committee meeting, and all parents are invited to attend. More details to come.
Parent Teacher Conferences begin at 5:00 PM. Teachers will be available in both gyms. No appointments; meet on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students are not expected to attend, but may if they would like to participate.
Please enter through the south (main) entrance.
We politely request that if you wish to discuss any issues requiring more than 5 minutes of conversation, please make an appointment with the teacher for a later date to allow for a more individualized meeting.

D38 Troops and Trades & College Fair

Don't miss two back-to-back events this Monday night!

1. Troops & Trades: 5:00-6:00 PM in the LPHS Social Studies pod. We will have representatives from several trade and technical programs offering presentations. See the linked flyer for information on the programs and military representatives attending. Enter through the main entrance for this event.

2. College Fair: 6:00-7:00 PM in the LPHS Gym. We have 36 colleges (in-state and out-of-state) registered to attend the fair. See the linked flyer to register. Students don't have to register in advance, but it makes it easier for them to connect with college representatives. You can enter through the main entrance or the athletic entrance.

Students, are you interested in joing a CLUB? LPHS overs dozens of clubs, and there is something for everyone! In an attempt to share club information in one concise place, we have added a CLUB BUTTON at the end of this newsletter with meeting details. Please keep in mind that this is an overview only, and this list will not reflect temporary meeting changes. Please reach out to the club sponsor for specific details.

Fall Student Survey

On Monday during second period, students will be given the opportunity to complete the Fall Student Survey. Responses are anonymous, and students are encouraged to share their honest feedback about their experiences at LPHS. Responses are very important, and will be heavily considered throughout the future planning processes.
