PRINCIPAL'S NOTE- SEPTEMBER 27, 2026 |
|
|
Ranger Families,
Thursday, October 1, is October Count Day. Student attendance on this day directly affects the funding our school receives for the year, so please make every effort to have your student in class. If they are unable to attend, please promptly report the absence to your grade level secretary.
On Monday, October 5, D38 hosts two back-to-back events at PRHS. Troops and Trades runs from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, with representatives from the military branches and the skilled trades. The College Fair follows from 6:00 to 7:30 PM with college and university representatives from across the region. Both are worth attending. Please see details below for registration information.
The following Wednesday, October 7, is a busy evening. Our next Ranger Advisory Committee meeting runs from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, and all parents are welcome — you do not need to be officially on the committee to attend. It's a great chance to share your ideas about how we can continue improving LPHS. Parent Teacher Conferences follow from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with two optional breakout sessions offered for parents. Details on both are below.
Thank you for your continued partnership. — Principal Jeffrey Zick |

IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE REMINDERS |
OCTOBER COUNT DAY IS OCTOBER 1st!
An important date is coming up! Each year, Colorado schools participate in the October Count, during which student attendance is recorded and certified for state funding purposes. This count directly impacts our school budget — from classroom supplies to instruction and beyond.
We kindly ask that you make every effort to have your student in school on Thursday, October 1. Attendance during the week before and after this date is also important. Every student present makes a difference for our school! |
